Allow me to congratulate you on your new born baby boy or girl. What an awesome experience and moment of pride especially for a new mom. Are you wondering how you will lose this new belly and shed those pregnancy pounds? Having a baby changes your life in many different ways and some of these changes affect your body.

I’m sure you have seen or maybe heard that some women come home from the hospital almost as slim as before they got pregnant. Let me break it to you in a nice way those women are the exception not the rule. In reality pretty much all women go through changes during and especially after pregnancy. This is not the time to beat yourself up; enjoy your new baby and motherhood experience then read on for some tips that will help you get back in shape.

Understanding the Changes
Chances are that once you have had your baby you will probably still look and maybe even feel you’re still carrying your baby. This is totally normal; it is expected that your body will require time to recover. Your stomach will keep your pregnancy shape probably several months after you have given birth. Under the best conditions you will probably go four weeks before your uterus gets back to a normal condition.

Your body may also require time to get rid of excess fluid if you are the type of woman susceptible to retaining large amounts of fluid during pregnancy. The good news is your stomach will be busy getting your back to its pre-pregnancy shape; however in most cases it takes time to lose your pregnancy weight so be patient.

Exercise is your friend
You may have even realized that your belly was not the only part affected perhaps your hips and thighs may also be a bit bigger. Relax, there is good news here, with a little patience and some exercise you can once again take control of your body. Before you know it, you will be back where you started. The most important thing you should consider is getting an ok from your doctor prior to starting an exercise routine after you have allowed your body 4-8 weeks to recover. If you must accelerate your routine for whatever reasons be sure you do it gradually and safely.

Don’t push yourself initially especially if there were complications or you had a C-section. Break up your exercises into smaller sessions and spread your sessions out through the day. You can incorporate additional exercises and intensify your routines once your body is responding well to the exercises.

Try to keep your exercises simple and do them when your baby is asleep. It will be tough initially to find time as newborns tend to keep you going all day; just do the best you can. When beginning your exercise routines you should not be alone in case you experience unforeseen problems.

Calories are important
You will really need to watch your calories especially if you made the decision to breastfeed you new baby. You will probably burn an additional 500 calories during breastfeeding. A reduction in the number of calories you consume is not recommended as it is likely to have a negative impact on your child. Your baby will get all or most of his or her nutrients from your breastfeeding.

If you decrease your calorie intake, you may decrease your available milk supply. You might also lose weight too quickly which may make your milk toxic and harmful to your baby. Your health is so important for your newborn, your family, and you so think safety whey you want to lose pregnancy weight. Now that you have your new baby you may want to know more information about how to put your recovery plan into action.

Women are naturally the caregivers. This happens to a woman by instinct, and this role usually allows them to slip into personal neglect. It so happens that women are the stronger of the two sexes when it comes to health and capacity of bearing pain both mentally and physically. It is a matter of debate whether this is the reason why they ignore their own health in the process or not.

Are The Existing Women’s Health Services Adequate For Women?

The question might be wrong, if you look at the general trends of real life. It should have read, “Are women responding or enjoying the facilities provided by the women’s health services?” Let us analyze this topic a little. There are certain health concerns and facts that every girl and boy should know right from the time of puberty. Actually the best time for the child to find out about the ‘birds and the bees’ is just around this time.

If the foundation is strong, there would be a habit formation that in turn will bring the woman for regular check-ups and enjoy the women’s health services offered in the area they live in. By default a woman tends to look beyond herself to take care of others. It is not uncommon to have women that have sold their entire house and every valuable thing they have to treat a member of their family.

However, when it comes to their own health, they tend to ignore it, even if they have access to the best of best women’s health services. Women need to give themselves more importance. The funny part is, that she has the knowledge and experience to take care of everyone, but she never applies it to herself.

It is imperative that women learn to pay attention to their own needs, too. Neglecting one’s health does not profit anybody, in anyway. Actually one should visit the women’s health services to make them laugh. All you have to do is to have one check-up once in two years, at least. This is sufficient to diagnose any life threatening diseases in time for curing; otherwise you will have to face the dire consequences.

The lives of many women have been lost for mere negligence. Hence, it is advisable to have a full-check up every two-three years once you are in the 30-40s. Some diseases are totally silent, and unless they are caught and cured in the earliest stages, these are the ones who can prove fatal.

HPV and cervical cancer have long been linked, and this article shows you just how. This article also tells you how you can stop HPV and cervical cancer before it’s too late and the consequences of ignorance and irresponsibility become irrevocable.

HPV, which stands for human papillovirus, is the most common sexually transmitted disease (STD) in the world today. It is composed of a family of more than one different viruses that can attack various parts of the body. There are some strains of HPV that cause the development of warts on the hands, feet, and other human body parts. Other strains – the most usual ones – appear on the genital area, including the penis, scrotum, anus, rectum, vulva, vagina, and cervix.

Over the years, the connection between HPV and cervical cancer has been explored thoroughly by scientists, and they found out that indeed, the two diseases are associated. Today, 76% of the women in the United States of America who are part of the 24 million Americans infected with HPV are ignorant of the said STD, which is a sad fact considering that HPV is the cause of virtually 100% of all known cervical cancers.

There are over 60 types of HPV. Clinical infections (or those that manifest symptoms such as visible genital warts) occur in only 1% of the infected population; sub-clinical infections (or those that do not manifest symptoms) occur in the rest. Scientists have discovered that the viral strains which cause genital warts have nothing to do with increased risks in cervical cancer or any other kind of cancer, for that matter. However, the viral strains which do not cause genital warts, which are greater in number, are responsible for the growth of cervical cancers, tying HPV and cervical cancer together.

In order to fight HPV and cervical cancer, it is important to get tested for HPV first. HPV viruses may be detected during a woman’s annual GYN examination. It is advised that women who are diagnosed with HPV have regular pap smears. It must be noted that pap smears are not specifically designed to detect the existence of HPV, but they do indicate abnormal cervical changes, which in turn may indicate an HPV infection or some other vaginal infection. Doctors usually issue an order for a follow-up screening procedure, such as a biopsy or a colposcopy. These procedures can follow the women’s condition more closely, allowing detection of further cervical changes after pap smear results come out.

Cervical dysplasia, which pap smear results of women with HPV may indicate, is considered by many doctors as a precursor condition for invasive cancer in the cervix. This ties HPV and cervical cancer even closer. A number of dysplasia cases regress over time, but the factors that contribute to the progression of the dysplasia into cervical cancer remain unknown to this date.

The best and only way to steer clear of both HPV and cervical cancer is to visit the doctor, have yourself tested for any strain of HPV, and undergo treatment right away if viruses are detected.
